LADRÖNN is a professional comic book artist, illustrator and conceptual designer based in Greater Los Angeles Area. He loves science fiction, the horror and the surreal art. At young age he is introduced to the European comics and he reads three books which will change his live forever, THE BLACK INCAL by Jodorowsky and Moebius, THE LONG TOMORROW by Dan O’Bannon and Moebius, and the H.R.Giger’s NECRONOMICON, at that moment he decides to be an artist. 

In 1996, he starts working in MARVEL drawing titles like MARVEL SHADOWS & LIGHTS #1, SPIDER-BOY TEAM-UP #1 for AMALGAM COMICS, CABLE, THE FANTASTIC FOUR, THOR and THE INHUMANS. During this time he works on LEGENDS OF THE DC UNIVERSE: SUPERMAN’S TRANSILVANE for DC COMICS.

LADRÖNN has painted covers for many comic book series, THE ALL NEW ATOM, OMAC PROJECT, GREEN ARROW & BLACK CANARY, THE SPIRIT, ALL STAR WESTERN, BATTLE FOR THE COWL, JUSTICE LEAGUE ODYSSEY, FUTURE STATE: GOTHAM, PLANET HULK, UNCANNY AVENGERS, INHUMANS, GUARDIANS TEAM-UP, CONAN, VAMPIRELLA, among other painted works.

In 1999 he joins the French publisher, HUMANOIDES ASSOCIES and creates several covers for the US Edition of The INCAL, he also draws TEARS OF GOLD for the legendary METAL HURLANT Magazine and FINAL INCAL, the final saga of the worldwide SF best-seller book, The INCAL, both projects with script by Alejandro Jodorowsky.

With GLÉNAT ÉDITIONS, the controversial filmmaker Jodorowsky and Ladrönn decide to work together again in an allegorical and surrealist Western where the genre is at the service of deeper philosophical and spiritual considerations, THE SONS OF EL TOPO, the sequel to the cult film, EL TOPO.
